The RAMCHARGERS raced at Detroit Dragway
The RAMCCARGERS were one of the best known hot rods that raced at The Double D. Growing up in Allen Park I would go past their shops a few time a month and always loved seeing one of their race cars sitting outside the shop.
The RAMCCARGERS came to be in 1959. A group of Chrysler engineers started with a 1 949 Plymouth business coupe, which they named “The High and Mighty”. The original High & Mighty is gone, but there is a great remake of it. Those of use that got to see the RAMCCARGERS race at Detroit Dragway still remember all the excitement they brought to us. Yes those were the good ole days of drag racing. I’m sure most of us miss the days when the cars had names, not just a dozen sponsors plastered on them.
Below we will share some of our RAMCCARGERS photos. Also for more information on the RAMCCARGERS visit these sites.
