    Some of the workers were Tiny  and Bobo at the line on Sunday nights, we would leave there and drive up to Marine city and do the races up there

    I grew up at Motorcity Dragway My dad John Broaden became General Manager at Detroit Dragway in the mid to late 70’s  As a kid I work the water box as I grew I was a tech official and then became the starter when my Dad moved west my mother took it over for a short time and i helped her Manage the race track the best years of my life was. spent there every Saturday Night

    I worked for L & L Concessions at Detroit Dragway during the summers of 1963 and 1964. I walked around the track and pit area selling and yelling “Peanuts, Popcorn, Coke and Orange”.
    It was a great job as I had full access to all the great drivers of the era; Garlits, Kalitta, Prudhome, Muldowney and many more including Linda Vaughn.

    I worked at DD 1987/88. Worked the crossover into the pit selling tickets and checking coolers. We also sold t-shirts in the same booth. Fun times

    I worked at Detroit Dragway in 1987/1988. I worked in the T-shirt booth and we also checked everyone entering pit area to make sure they had no alcohol in coolers. Any alcohol was taken until they were leaving for the day or thrown away.

    Super great times. All the years I did not work there I was in the stands having fun ♡
