2022 Detroit Dragway Reunion The 2022 Detroit Dragway Reunion was held on 7-23-22 at Milan Dragway.  It was wonderful to go back the the NEW & much improved Milan Dragway.  The new owners have done a lot in only five months to improve the dragstrip.  Not counting the purchase price I believe they have already spent hundreds of thousands of dollars, and they many more ideas they want to improve along with new features they would like to add to the property.  It’s so nice to have owners that actually want to improve the property and are dedicated to making…

Dale Pulde Raced War Eagle At Detroit Dragway Dale raced War Eagle at Detroit Dragway on July 15 , 1967. Dale had War Eagle painted in the same color scheme as John Force’s current Funny Car. Dale qualified War Eagle in the number two position with a time of 11.42 seconds. In the first round of eliminations, Dale defeated Ronnie Sox with a time of 11.38 seconds. Dwane Ong “ The Pawnbroker”Raced At DD Dwane Ong a Detroit area local raced at Detroit Dragway & other tracks around the states, and was very successful. Dwane raced both a Funny Car “Trader Ray” and the Dragster named “The Pawnbroker”. In 1970 Dwayne was first rear engine dragster to win a national event. At the height of drag racing in the 60’s & 70’s Detroit Dragway was one of the drag strips all the top drag racers wanted to race at.
